Avoiding the construction on 37th
Minneapolis is reconstructing 37th Avenue during the summer and fall of 2023. If you’re coming to visit, here’s a map to avoid the construction.
During the construction, you can’t drive west on 37th Avenue. If you’re driving, here are the best approaches to my office while the construction is going on:
- Best: come north on Johnson Street. It’s best to get here by driving north on Johnson Street, then turning left immediately after the railroad tracks, into what looks like an alley. That alley will take you directly to Buchanan street and my place.
- Possible: come east on 37th Avenue. They’ve narrowed 37th to one very tight lane going eastbound, and you can take that from Central if you need too. It’s really bumpy!
